The Deep Ellum of today looks very different than the city of yesterday. And while larger scale buildings and a higher income populous have come in, much of the culture and beauty of the area has been pushed out. But does progress mean that the spirit of Deep Ellum can only exist as a memory? What if one city block could start to bring back the people that made this area celebrated and give them a real means of staying there? Of thriving there?
